Salvete Omnes and Χαίρετε Παντές!
I am Joseph Nardo, from the Blessed Sacrament Homeschool Group Junior Classical League (BSHG JCL), and I am running to be your 2025-2026 NJCL Torch Editor. If you have any questions for me, please feel free to walk up to me! You can also email me at joseph.nardo.a5yhm@slmail.me.
About Me
I have many different interests—I play flute in a band, sing Tenor in a choir, work as a Maintenance and Custodial Assistant at a school, help direct the serving organization at my church, run a D&D campaign, a blog, and a podcast, and write Fantasy (with the intention of publishing it some day).
I enjoy gaming with my friends, and have spent hundreds if not thousands of hours expanding my Warhammer collection. I am an avid Minecraft fan, and am dipping my toes in Zelda.
As a baseball zealot, I (of course) run a Fantasy Baseball league, while cheering on my favorite teams—the Astros and the Mets.
Within the JCL, I have served as an officer for my chapter since we were founded a few years ago, whether that was as Torch Editor, Website Coordinator, or President, while I also served as the Torch Editor for the state of Tennessee. I wrote my chapter Constitution, built our chapter website, and have worked on communications between our chapter and the state, as well as assisting as the Tennessee photographer.
To learn more about me and my platform, visit the other pages of the website, or use this link to look at my Joomag presentation, which is also available below!
(Why is Joomag important? It's the platform the NJCL uses to publish the Torch! I have hundreds of hours of experience with it.)
